I'm a forty-something woman in Massachusetts who writes, plays roleplaying games and videogames, does some genealogical detective work, and otherwise geeks about a great deal. I write medical learning systems and software manuals for a living, and have occasionally freelanced for roleplaying and video game companies. My educational background is in biology and genetics, and as such, I babble occasionally on the topic of diseases. I have a wonderful (and legal!) wife, a Victorian house that we're saving from the ravages of the 1970s, more books than we can count, and cats.
My siblings were a wild pack of Airedales. As a result, I am periodically stupider than you'd normally expect from me, occasionally jockey halfheartedly for dominance of the pack, and may growl and shake my head violently while playing tug-of-war. At least I've never had to have surgery to remove socks from my stomach.
As you may guess from various cues around my LJ, I am a fan of the anime series Revolutionary Girl Utena. I have a small fansite, which includes fanfic, essays, and some Utena resources. I occasionally post fanfic for other fandoms.
